What Should I Pack in My Stripper Work Bag?

Veteran Stripper Edition

When I retired from stripping, my dance bag looked a lot different than when I was a baby dancer. I only went through a short phase of the “clothes exploding everywhere” stereotype anway. Besides the usual stuff (makeup, outfits, wipes), there’s a few thing that I pack in my dance bag as a career stripper.

Full body deodorant or a body + hair safe spray to scent my hair. It’s frivolous but helps scents lock in and makes me happy when I smell my hair mid shift. My favorite was Pacifica Persian Rose, and it has since been discontinued. Deodorant should be clean or soap scented, and then the full body deo or body and hair spray can be something fun. I try to use the one in my hair for top notes and my perfume for the bottom notes, usually something warm or gourmand.

Collagen packets!! And tea bags. I like to make green tea with collagen to drink at the beginning of my shift or before I leave the house. Collagen has been hyped for your face, but you really need it for your knees, especially after thirty. Collagen production slows after 30. Your Pleasers don’t care.

Hand sanitizer and wipes. You never know what you’ll need to wipe off, and who knows if house mom has any that are skin safe. I usually wipe myself down after stage sets, and wipe my phone, wallet, and work purse as I’m walking out, or in the car. Stay healthy friends!

On the same note, get some Zicam for your work bag. Zicam is a cold shortener, formulated with zinc and zinc gluconate to prevent rhinovirus (common cold) from binding to the cells in your mouth and throat. I prefer the nasal spray because I feel like it’s getting my nasal cavity and my throat, but there are melt away tabs and nasal swabs as well. I have all three, and use them in rotation, but if you do any nose candy or are paranoid like me, I recommend the spray. Tip: Drink your collagen first, then take Zicam. You cannot eat or drink for at least 15 minutes after the Zicam tablet melts in your mouth.

Magic Molecule, is magic. It’s an antimicrobial compound that is found in white blood cells and fights surface bacteria. It helps rashes, scrapes, burns, and eczema. It’s great for sensitive skin that gets chafed from rubbing on jeans and pants all night.

Lidocaine spray! It’s great to numb your feet, and I recently found out that there are formulations that have an antibacterial active ingredient, which is great for keeping your Pleasers staying a little fresher, for a little longer.

A yoga mat towel- just the towel, and a lacrosse ball or other trigger point tool that fits in your bag. Sometimes, numbing spray or not, my feet need to be massaged mid shift, but I don’t want to touch my feet. A trigger point tool helps, and a mat towel gives you a place to sit or stretch that isn’t just bare assed on the locker room floor.

Stripping is your career, and you are your biggest asset, the centerpiece of your business, so take care of yourself!!

Any questions? Leave them in the comments!

Happy hustling babes!
